Individuals, teams and organisations can send their contributions until 30 September 2016.

The 2017 theme is “A Voice to Lead: achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

For over 45 years, ICN has been publishing the International Nurses Day Resource (formerly known as the IND toolkit).

This resource ‘pack’ is provided to more than 130 countries reaching a potential audience of 16 million nurses globally.

Used by the nursing community everywhere, it is a strategy to improve health and health systems globally.

In 2017, ICN will change the way it presents and delivers the International Nurses Day Resource to better engage members, with:

  • Improved visuals and accessibility via web based interface
  • Improved ownership through case studies
  • A resource that is interactive and dynamic
  • Clear and concise call to action

ICN is interested in the work of nurses at any level (front line nurses, managers, directors, chief nurses, National Nursing Associations, Professional Nursing Organisations) –as individuals or in teams.

The case studies will provide the audience with an understanding of how nurses are critical leaders across the world in achieving the targets set out in the SDG’s.

The table outlines requirements in more details.

This is an exciting opportunity for countries to showcase their work to the entire world on how nurses are leading and are pivotal in the realization of the SDGs.
